We have began our work on poetry today. We have looked at different poetry terms and performed some poems by Emily Dickinson. Check out our performances!

Thursday 14th May - Homework

Tomorrow, Years 5 and 6 will be going on a visit to Ryton Organic Gardens - we are all very excited! We will be sure to post lots of pictures from our visit when we return tomorrow afternoon!

  4. I really enjoyed the trip to ryton organic gardens and I learnt a lot from the trip. On the trip, I learnt that you can grow on a hay bale and that you don't have to put seeds deep in the ground for them to grow.

  5. I really enjoyed the trip to Ryton Organic Gardens. I learnt a lot of things during the trip, I learnt that you can plant seeds in a hay bale, and that you dont have to plant seeds deep down in the soil for them to grow.

  6. I learnt lots about flowers and vegetables at Ryton Organic Gardens. I really enjoyed that part where we could draw. I drew the landscape in front of me! I learnt that organic means no special added chemicals just natural chemicals. It takes harder work to make things organic.

  8. It was a fun day out visiting ryton organic garden I've learnt how plants grow and what it need it was a lot of fun and the tours was really fun.

  9. My visit to Ryton Organic Gardens- I have learnt many new things about Compost, like how we can make compost at home with wood. What can be added in Compost? you can add peals of potato, carrot, onion and other vegetables which you peal at home while cooking, we can also add dry leaves, twigs and grass from garden. Egg shell, banana peel and left over rice or cereals also helps to make mud at home. By using Compost the plant produce beautiful flowers , fruits and vegetables.

  11. I learned lots of things at the garden.I learned that organic gardening is gardening but using no chemicals.I enjoyed sketching the trees because I love sketching, I also enjoyed the question-air because it was like i hunt at the same time.I loved the trip.
